Nicolas A. Tsavliris received the "President's Award", the highest "Athens College" distinction, for his invaluable services rendered to the Institution. The special ceremony took place on 12 July 2023, during this year's Commencement Graduation event at the School.
Mr Tsavliris was honoured for his 50-year involvement and contribution to the success of "Athens College" (Hellenic-American Educational Foundation, Κολλέγιο Αθηνών). He accepted the "Life Achievement Award" with great pride and emotion.
His long-standing and multifaceted services to "Athens College" began in 1973 and include the roles of Treasurer (2005 - 2013), Vice-Chairman (2014 - 2017) and Chairman of the Board of Directors (2017 - 2021). He has been a permanent member of the College Athletic Team, including participation in Marathon Runs, for which he was awarded the College's "Lifetime Sports Prize" in 2016.
Nicolas Tsavliris graduated from Athens College in 1966 and upon completion of his studies in 1973, he formally joined the family business, Tsavliris Maritime Group.
